About Patricia

As the Founder and President of ReelYou, Patricia brings 25 years' experience as a documentary filmmaker and broadcast journalist, for CBC's The National, and CNN International. She also founded her own documentary production company, creating films on three continents. She later worked in international development, as President, Asia for ORBIS, a global organization devoted to saving and restoring sight. Over the years, Patricia has interviewed hundreds of people, from every conceivable walk of life. That experience taught her that everyone has, at their core, a compelling story that sets them apart, the inspiration behind ReelYou!

The ReelYou Process

The Chat

A one hour, casual, one on one pre-interview. It's where we find out a bit about who you are, and what matters to you. No preparation needed!

The Storyboard

Based on our conversation, we present you with your customized storyboard - an outline of your proposed film on paper. Once it meets your approval, we decide on a date and arrangements for the filming!

The Shoot

The filming takes 3-4 hours in total. It's carried out by one of our topnotch documentary crews, who regularly shoot for film and television. It starts with a one-on-one interview with Patricia, followed by a sequence of you engaged in the activities that illustrate your story. On-camera coaching provided!

The Preview

Our post-production crew, a company that produces feature films and documentaries for theatrical release, prepares a rough cut of your film. The rough cut is like a second fitting for a suit - it's all there, minus the finishing touches. It's your opportunity for final approval and changes.

The Reveal

Your ReelYou is now ready! Our wonderful tech wizards can embed it in your email signature and social media profiles (or provide your own IT department with the directions). We also provide a file for uploading to YouTube and for live presentations. Because they are broadcast quality, some clients have even shown them in movie theatres! The options are limitless - just ask us!
